Local populations can change significantly during the lifetime of this dataset. Unfortunately, this breakdown is not included within the annual mid-year estimate statistics published by the Office of National Statistics (ONS). Official population ethnicity data is collected and analysed every ten years as part of the National Census. The age structure of the population is significantly older than the Rotherham average, with the percentage aged 65+ being well above average. The population of Bramley & Ravenfield ward has hardly changed since 2011 in contrast to the increasing borough population. To the east of Bramley, the ward borders junction one of the M18 motorway.īramley and Ravenfield ward is served by three parish councils including the North and South wards of Bramley Parish (total population 7,182) Council and the whole of both Hooton Roberts (population 192) and Ravenfield (population 2,704) parish councils. North of the main residential area the ward is rural with the villages of Hooton Roberts and Ravenfield set in open countryside including part of Thrybergh Country Park. The ward covers a large rural area but most people live in the Bramley area along with Ravenfield Common. The ward is represented by two members of the Council. Bramley and Ravenfield ward lies in the north east of the Borough, with a population of 9,395 (2019 population estimate).
